Next-Gen Director

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and visionary Next-Gen Director to lead and grow our kids and student ministries. This role is part-time (30 hours/week) and ideal for someone who loves developing authentic relationships with kids and teens, inspiring volunteers, and creating a safe, engaging, and spiritually nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee, develop, and implement programming for kids and students (birth through 12th grade), aligning with Heartland Vineyard’s mission and values.
  Ensure that all ministry environments are safe, age-appropriate, and Christ-centered.
• Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to serve and lead effectively in their ministry areas.
• Build relationships with students and families, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Coordinate curriculum, events, and outreach activities that engage and grow the next generation.
• Collaborate with pastoral and staff teams to integrate Next-Gen ministry into the broader life of the church.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed, maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for all participants.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Committed follower of Jesus, aligned with Heartland Vineyard Church values.
• Experience working with children and youth in a ministry or leadership context.
• Strong relational and communication skills; able to build relational equity and trust.
• Creative, proactive, and flexible with a heart for seeing people grow in faith.
• Ability to manage volunteers and organize programs efficiently.
  Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work effectively both independently and in a team setting.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a church leadership role.
• Familiarity with Vineyard theology and culture.
• Knowledge of current youth culture and engagement strategies.
