Welcome to Seed & Soil: Celebrating 50 years of the Vineyard Day of Giving. In this unique moment in our history, we want to celebrate all God has done in and through the Vineyard. We invite you to give and support the work of local churches across our national movement.
We are excited to share that we have received commitments from generous givers who will match all other gifts received up to $125,000. Thank you for your generosity!
On August 4, 2024, we invite you to celebrate 50 years of the Vineyard with us through your prayers and giving for two simple reasons. First, we want to express our gratitude in a tangible way to God for the fruit borne through this movement since our first church service in 1974. Second, we want to invest by sowing seeds in the soil of our communities that will lead to building healthy churches that continue to reflect the goodness of God to all people for generations to come. All proceeds from the Day of Giving will support the essential functions of the Vineyard USA national movement. Sixty percent of the money raised will move toward the daily operations of Vineyard USA and forty percent will be devoted to funding important initiatives and programs:
This year, 15% of the gifts generated during this Day of Giving will be designated to support Pastoral Health initiatives. These initiatives aim to bolster the well-being of our pastors, recognizing the challenges they face in their roles as spiritual leaders and caregivers. One such initiative is the Benevolence Fund, designed to provide pastors with support for acute needs. Whether it's medical assistance, crisis care, or financial coaching, the Benevolence Fund stands ready to support pastors during times of need.
15% of the funds raised will support two critical areas of Church Health & Development. The first will involve helping local churches develop and raise up leaders from within. We are excited to be launching Vineyard Leadership Essentials this Fall, which is a leadership development track that can be utilized by any church, at any size. The second area will focus on equipping churches to raise up, train and send out church planters through the work of Multiply Vineyard. Your generosity will enable us to invest in the growth, vitality, and multiplication of Vineyard churches nationwide.
10% of the gifts generated will be designated to further the work of Vineyard USA's Associations. These associations represent the diversity crafted by God within our movement and play a vital role in empowering and equipping leaders from different backgrounds. Whether it's the Asian American and Pacific Islander Association, the Black Pastors and Leaders Association, the Hispanic Association, or the Women's Association—each group brings unique perspectives and gifts to our collective mission, and they embody the full range of Kingdom practices we hold so dear. Your generous contributions will enable us to further the work of these associations, empower more leaders and foster greater inclusion and diversity, allowing them to continue their transformative ministries and initiatives within Vineyard USA.
