Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This person will:
• Oversee the youth ministry at Global Village Vineyard
• Recruiting, training, coaching, and caring for volunteer teams in youth’s ministry.
• Establish strong relationships with parents of students
• Organize services, events, and discipleship opportunities for 5th-12th graders in line with Global Village Vineyard values and direction
• Reach out to families new to GVV and seek to find ways to build their connection to the church.
• Encourage and equip all parents in the journey of family discipleship.
• Participate in a monthly Leadership Team meeting.
• Participate in the life of the church as a member and leader
• Attend required staff events (all staff meeting, staff retreat, other)
• Follow and implement appropriate safety protocols for the youth’s ministry including youth abuse/safety training and other procedures as laid out in our Youth Protection Policy handbook. Compliance with these protocols and plans will be reviewed by the Lead Pastors on a periodic basis.
• Plan and implement family-centered events designed for deeper connections.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to integrate our youth into the larger church community through service, ministry, and intergenerational relationships.
• Oversight of youth ministry budget.
