Family Life Pastor (Kids & Youth)
Lakewood Vineyard Church – Lakewood, OH
Part-Time Position (20-30 Hours per Week)

About Us
Lakewood Vineyard is a vibrant, growing church committed to being deeply rooted in Jesus and deeply engaged in our community. We seek to live out a faith that is biblically grounded, Spirit-empowered, emotionally healthy, and missionally active. We value both deep discipleship and lighthearted joy, and we long to see the next generation thrive in God’s love.

Role Summary
We’re looking for a fun, strategic, and spiritually grounded leader to oversee and grow our ministries for Kids (birth–5th grade) and Youth (6th–12th grade). The Kids Ministry is already up and running with a strong foundation—your job will be to strengthen it and help it thrive. For Youth Ministry, this is a ground-up opportunity: you’ll get to launch something new, building relationships with students and families while creating a ministry that is relational, Spirit-led, and sustainable.
This role is ideal for someone who loves developing systems, empowering volunteers, engaging families, and creating safe, joyful spaces where young people can grow in faith, community, and mission. You’ll work closely with the pastoral team to align Family Ministries with the broader church vision and create an environment where kids and youth are known, valued, and empowered to live everyday life with Jesus.

Key Responsibilities
Kids Ministry Oversight (15 hours/week)
• Team Development: Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers for Sunday mornings and events.
• Programming: Select and prepare engaging curriculum that teaches Vineyard theology (Kingdom of God, healing, God’s voice, already/not yet) in age-appropriate and fun ways.
• Sunday Experience: Ensure classrooms are safe, welcoming, and full of laughter and connection.
• Family Engagement: Build relationships with parents and equip them to disciple their kids throughout the week.
• Systems Management: Oversee scheduling, background checks, safety procedures, check-in processes, and volunteer communication.
• Outreach Events: Plan and lead family-friendly events that are joyful, relational, and outward-facing.

Youth Ministry Development (10 hours/week)
• Ministry Launch: Create and lead a relational, Jesus-centered ministry for teens from the ground up.
• Volunteer Leadership: Identify and equip youth leaders to disciple students.
• Programming: Start with small gatherings—games, food, spiritual conversations—and grow toward a sustainable rhythm of youth engagement.
• Family Partnership: Support parents and caregivers in discipling teens through relationship, resources, and encouragement.

General Pastoral & Team Responsibilities (5 hours/week)
• Staff Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings and collaborate to integrate family ministries into the life of the church.
• Church-wide Involvement: Represent kids and youth in church events, outreach, and vision-casting.
• Ministry Integration: Create smooth transitions between age groups and help the whole church champion the next generation.
