About Mission Vineyard

Mission Vineyard is a Vineyard church in San Antonio, founded in 2011. Our mission is to welcome Jesus into all

of life, and our vision is planting churches of disciple makers. We gather on Sunday mornings at The DoSeum

and also have a Spanish language campus, Vina. We are a portable church, so Sunday setup and teardown are

part of how we serve together.

The role

We are looking for a worship leader (or worship intern, depending on experience and availability) to help lead

our Sunday worship and to invest in the people on our worship team. This is a ministry role first, not a

performance role. The right person loves Jesus, loves people, and wants to see worship form us as disciples.

What you will do

• Lead worship on Sunday mornings, planning set lists in conversation with the senior pastor and the

preaching theme

• Lead or help lead a weekly rehearsal, and prepare chord charts and set lists for the team

• Recruit, train, and encourage volunteer musicians and vocalists, including newer and younger team

members

• Help build a healthy team culture: prayer together, honest feedback, and care for one another

• Work with the sound and media volunteers so worship and tech serve the room together

• Support special services and seasonal gatherings as needed

• Grow as a disciple yourself, including participation in the life of the church beyond Sunday mornings

Who you are

• A follower of Jesus with a growing, evident faith and a life of integrity

• Able to lead worship vocally and/or on an instrument, and to lead a band with confidence

• A team builder who can develop volunteers, not just fill a slot

• Teachable, dependable, and comfortable in a portable, setup-and-teardown Sunday environment

• In agreement with Mission Vineyard’s mission, vision, and Vineyard values

• Spanish language ability is a plus, given our Spanish language campus, but is not required

Time and compensation
