Youth Pastor

Position Summary
The Part-Time Youth Pastor is responsible for leading and developing the church’s youth ministry, primarily through Sunday and Wednesday youth services. This individual will create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment where middle school and high school students can grow spiritually, build relationships, and become active disciples of Jesus.

The Youth Pastor will provide biblical teaching, spiritual leadership, mentorship, and outreach opportunities while partnering with parents and church leadership to support the spiritual development of students.

Key Responsibilities
Youth Services Leadership

• Plan, organize, and lead weekly youth services on Sundays and Wednesdays.
• Prepare and deliver engaging, biblically sound messages relevant to students.
• Coordinate worship, activities, prayer, and small groups during services.
• Create an atmosphere that is fun, welcoming, and spiritually impactful

Student Discipleship & Pastoral Care

• Build meaningful relationships with students through mentorship and encouragement.
• Provide spiritual guidance and prayer support for youth and families.
• Encourage students to grow in their faith and participate in church life.
• Identify and develop student leaders within the ministry.

Volunteer Leadership

• Recruit, train, and oversee youth ministry volunteers.
• Schedule volunteers for youth services and activities.
• Foster healthy communication and teamwork among youth leaders.

Outreach & Events

• Plan occasional youth events, outings, retreats, or outreach opportunities.
• Encourage students to invite friends and build connections within the community.
• Support church-wide events as requested by leadership.

Communication & Administration

• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and church leadership.
• Use social media, texting, and other communication tools to promote youth activities.
• Manage youth ministry schedules, supplies, and curriculum.

Qualifications

• A growing personal relationship with Jesus.
• Strong biblical knowledge and ability to teach Scripture effectively.
• Passion for working with middle school and high school students.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.
• Previous youth ministry experience preferred.
• Agreement with the church’s mission, vision, and statement of faith.

Schedule & Hours

• Part-time position (approximately 24-29 hours per week).
• Primary responsibilities include:
• Sunday youth service
• Wednesday youth service
• Tuesday Staff Prayer & Staff Meeting
• Weekly planning and volunteer coordination
• Occasional events and meetings
