Our vision at the Vineyard Church of Davenport is to be a dynamic, multi-ethnic, multi-generational community on a mission to serve and cities by following Jesus Christ. We are located in Davenport, Iowa, which is part of the Quad Cities metropolitan area with a total population of around 380,000 people.
Our church is known in the community for being a church that is ethnically diverse and welcoming to people from all different walks of life. We have a reputation for being a church that cares for the poor and we have a high value for serving others. Our Sunday morning services are known for having passionate worship and opportunities to experience the Holy Spirit and receive ministry. Our average Sunday attendance is around 325-350 people, and our average youth group attendance ranges from 15-40 students.
We are seeking an energetic leader and follower of Jesus to join our team and lead the 7th-12th graders in our church to grow in their journey of following Jesus.
SUMMARY:
The role of the Youth Group Coordinator/Director/Pastor is to lead the youth ministry (7th-12th grades) at the Vineyard Church of Davenport in accordance with our vision and values. The Youth Group Coordinator/Director/Pastor is responsible for creating a safe, caring environment that supplements the family’s efforts to provide a spiritual foundation that will help our students grow in their relationship with God and help them grow into a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
This role will be classified as coordinator, director, or pastor depending on the education and experience of the candidate. If the candidate has limited ministry experience/education or is new to a Vineyard church, they would start as Youth Group Coordinator. If the candidate has some relevant education and experience in a Vineyard church, they could potentially start as Youth Director. If a candidate has significant education, experience, and has already served as a pastor in another Vineyard church, it is possible that they could start as Youth Pastor.
