Director of Connections

SUMMARY
The Director of Connections oversees the process of engaging attendees and VCC Partners in the life of Vineyard Cincinnati Church (VCC), ensuring they take next steps in their personal discipleship. This role provides vision, leadership, and strategic development for connections, VCC Partners, and volunteer engagement. This role serves as the public face of connecting and next steps at VCC.

The Director will create and oversee welcoming environments, follow-up processes, newcomer and VCC Partnership events, and volunteer engagement strategies, with special attention toward the next generation. This role also ensures clear and consistent communication between VCC leadership and its VCC Partners, helping individuals find their place in fulfilling the mission and vision of VCC.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Connecting & Next Steps
Oversee the full connection pathway, ensuring that new guests feel welcomed and invited to engage in the life of the church.
Develop and maintain systems for tracking newcomers and guiding them toward their next steps.
Lead the design and execution of newcomer events (Discover VCC) and next step opportunities.
Ensure that connection events align with VCC’s vision and effectively connect attendees to community and serving opportunities.

VCC Partnership Engagement
Oversee the recruitment, orientation, and ongoing development of VCC Partners.
Plan and execute VCC Partner events, including quarterly and annual gatherings.
Facilitate transparent and engaging communication between VCC leadership and VCC Partners.
Maintain accurate VCC Partner records and oversee a renewal process.

Volunteer Engagement & Development
Design and implement an effective volunteer recruitment and engagement strategy across all ministry areas.
Support staff in building and leading volunteer teams across all ministry areas.
Oversee background check processes.
Regularly communicate volunteer opportunities to the church community.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Serves as a member of the pastoral staff and provides pastoral support at Welcome Center.

Strong commitment to the mission and values of Vineyard Cincinnati Church.

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse groups.

primarily by commitment to being a VCC Partner. The Partner Agreement includes basic behaviors like attending worship services, exercising
personal spiritual disciplines, discipleship and tithing 10% of your income.
