Vineyard Kids Elementary Director (Full Time)

SUMMARY

This role provides visionary leadership and oversight for the elementary-aged ministry (grades 1-5) of Vineyard Cincinnati Church.

The ideal candidate for this role is a proven, dynamic leader who thrives in building teams and coaching volunteers, enjoys speaking and teaching, and is excited about engaging families in generational discipleship. This person is passionate about introducing Jesus to kids, developing volunteer teams through effective leadership models and coaching, partnering with families, and creating an environment that includes all children. This candidate works well as a part of a team and is capable of independent work.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the elementary volunteer team: Recruit, develop, connect with, and oversee training for the elementary volunteers.
    Implement theologically and developmentally appropriate curriculum resources.
  • Develop parent partnerships to gain feedback and involvement, and provide tools and resources to help equip them as the spiritual leaders in their homes.
  • Lead and teach during Sunday morning services, with a focus on developing volunteer leaders and teachers.
  • Work with the Vineyard Kids team to plan, execute, and evaluate events to meet the needs of our church and geographical communities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local school and community leaders to build bridges for service and evangelism.
  • Initiate and facilitate special activities that foster children’s pathways to spiritual growth including, but not limited to: baptism classes, summer camps, parent classes, etc.
  • Provide a safe, age-appropriate, fun, prepared, clean, orderly, and inviting atmosphere, continuing a culture of positive engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION    Bachelor’s in Children’s Ministry or related field.

EXPERIENCE    Minimum 2 years in church/education setting. Preferred Experience: – Volunteer leadership and development – Experience in children’s ministry – Active understanding of child development
