Worship Coordinator – Grandview Campus

Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)

The Worship Coordinator at our Grandview Campus is a part-time (20 hours/week) ministry leadership position that plays a key role in helping people encounter God through worship. This person will provide leadership, spiritual guidance, and administrative support for worship and production ministries, creating environments where people can connect with God, engage in authentic worship, and participate fully in the life of the church.

Working closely with the Lead Pastor for Grandview Campus and the broader Vineyard Columbus worship team, the Worship Coordinator will lead weekend worship services, develop and care for volunteer musicians and production team members, coordinate worship planning and rehearsals, and help cultivate a culture of worship that aligns with the mission and values of Vineyard Columbus. This role blends musical leadership with team development and ministry administration, requiring someone who loves worship, enjoys investing in people, and can bring both creativity and organization to ministry environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the worship life of a congregation located in one of the most diverse and strategically positioned areas of Columbus by creating meaningful worship experiences, developing volunteer leaders, and fostering an environment where people can encounter Jesus and respond to His presence..

We are seeking a spiritually mature, team-oriented leader who is passionate about leading people in worship and helping others use their gifts to serve the church. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, developing volunteers, and creating worship environments that are Christ-centered, engaging, and spiritually meaningful.

This person is both creative and organized. They are energized by leading worship, preparing teams, coordinating ministry details, and helping create services that support the spiritual formation of the congregation. They thrive in collaborative settings, communicate clearly, and bring a positive, flexible attitude to the changing rhythms of ministry.

The ideal candidate is also a developer of people who enjoys identifying, recruiting, training, and empowering volunteer musicians and production team members. They understand that healthy worship ministry is built through healthy teams and are passionate about helping others grow both musically and spiritually.

Most importantly, this individual demonstrates a genuine love for Jesus, a commitment to personal spiritual growth, and a desire to help others encounter God’s presence through worship.

Desired qualifications:

  • Passion for leading people into meaningful encounters with God through worship.
  • Demonstrated experience leading worship and coordinating worship teams.
  • Ability to direct a band, lead rehearsals, and oversee worship service preparation.
  • Vocal and/or instrumental proficiency.
  • Ability to recruit, train, support, and empower volunteer musicians and production team members.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage schedules, rehearsals, and service planning.
  • Knowledge of current worship music and production technology.
  • Experience utilizing Planning Center Online, PRIME Multitrack, or similar worship planning tools is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated spiritual maturity and a lifestyle that reflects biblical values.
  • Strong collaboration skills, dependability, and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Physical requirements:

Walking, standing, lifting, manual dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing. Ability to perform light physical work and repetitive motions.
