What do I love about coaching?
Coaching is not merely a profession for me; it’s a calling. I am inspired by the opportunity to affirm, validate, encourage, challenge, and support those God puts in my path. I enjoy collaborating and being a team player, aiming to get to the heart of the matter quickly. The intentional balance of challenge and support allows me to witness my clients’ transformation of thought and action.
Coaching allows me to connect with individuals at a deeper level, guiding them through personal and professional growth. The joy I find in watching the “lights come on” in my clients’ thinking and actions is inspiring, and it fuels my commitment to our trans-formative journey.
What do I bring to coaching?
I aim to be fully present through every coaching session, engaging my clients with empathy and understanding. Whether you’re seeking personal transformation, professional development, or both, I invite you to join me in exploring the potential that awaits you. Together, we’ll navigate the path toward your entire self, aligning with the wisdom, strength, and clarity you need to thrive.
With over 6,000 hours of paid coaching experience and recognition as a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, I bring expertise and knowledge to my coaching practice. My academic background includes an MBA and 200 hours of post-graduate coaching training. I also carry the valuable insight and skills developed during my 26-year career as an HR professional.
I enjoy working with the following client situations:
Executive
Mid-Career
Work/Life Balance
Emerging Leaders
Transition

What do you love about Coaching?
What I love about coaching is its unique ability to facilitate profound personal growth and transformation. As Oswald Chambers said, “God is not working toward a particular finish – His purpose is the process itself.” This resonates deeply with my coaching philosophy.
Coaching allows me to be a thinking partner with the client, focusing more on the journey of transformation rather than resolving a particular problem. Each coaching experience presents an opportunity to witness and facilitate incredible growth.
Unlike other roles I hold-pastor, counselor, teacher, chaplain, and mentor-coachingis gives me the opportunity to intrinsically challenge individual/s to collaborate with the God who believes in them. It creates a space where both coach and client can turn every interaction into a meaningful journey of discovery and empowerment.
What I Bring to Coaching
As a coach, I bring a unique portfolio of diverse academic knowledge and practical ministry experience. My MBA provides a strong foundation in strategic and organizational leadership, which is essential for coaching leaders in various settings. The Diplomas of Ministry and Divinity offer practical ministry skills that inform my coaching approach, allowing me to integrate faith-based principles into personal and professional development.
The Christian Leaders Certificate, House Church Ministry, and Peace Ministry certifications add specialized knowledge that enhances my ability to coach in specific ministry contexts.
The School of Kingdom Ministry deepens my understanding of the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, allowing me to engage the first person of each coaching encounter(HS). This diverse background enables me to adapt my coaching style to different contexts, whether in business, ministry, or personal development.
I bring the ability to be a thinking buddy by being present and using reflective inquiry to provoke insights that transform the client rather than just solve a problem. Ultimately, I offer a unique combination of business acumen, spiritual insight, formal ministry training and practical ministry experience, empowering groups and individuals to lead well.

What do I love about coaching?
As a pastor for over 35 years, I have always loved helping individuals to grow into their destinies. I had a “Barnabus” in my life and want to be a “son of encouragement” as well.
My coaching training has helped me become a much better listener and trust the Holy Spirit’s voice in guiding sessions. I have been privileged to coach potential church planters, senior pastors, area pastors, and an internationally known worship leader. I have also coached clients wanting to start a real estate investment business (which I now do part-time).
When I’m not coaching, my wife and I love to travel to visit our four adult kids and four grandkids. I also play golf several times a week.
What do I bring to coaching?
I have been part of the Vineyard since joining the Anaheim Vineyard staff in 1986. I planted a Vineyard back home in NY in 1997, where I served on the Regional Church Planting team and as Area Leader. After transitioning out of 30 years of pastoral ministry, I moved back to Central NY, launched a successful investment property business, and am now focusing on developing his coaching ministry.
I earned an MA from Fuller Seminary’s School of World Mission with a concentration in Leadership. I was a certified coach serving Vineyard’s Healthy Church Task Force and was trained by Multiply Vineyard. I am pursuing certification from Grandview University in Coaching, Mentoring, and Leadership.
As a former Vineyard church planter and Area Leader, I am passionate about seeing Vineyard leaders thrive in ministry. I have always been passionate about church planting and love coaching.

What do I love about coaching?
My favorite part of coaching is helping people reach their life goals and make progress in areas they have not been able to breakthrough before.
Being trained as a coach has allowed me to discover and see my church leaders accomplish their goals by walking through life’s journey and facilitating self-discovery through coaching. Also, it has grown my leadership and ministry skills, serving to empower myself and others in their gifts.
When I am not coaching I spend time outdoors and reading, but family time is what I cherish the most—with my wife, Trisha, and my two adult children.

What do I love about coaching?
I relish those aha moments in my clients’ faces, physical releases, and vocal inflections when the scales fall from their eyes. There is nothing like getting to the core of your purpose, uncovering gifts and talents, discovering strengths and weaknesses, and just knowing what you didn’t know three seconds ago. Those Kairos moments are like finding the buried treasure of life. To be a part of that witness is priceless and an honor.

What do I love about coaching?
I am deeply passionate about transformational leadership. I love helping leaders transition from mere surviving to thriving, particularly in ministry. My natural curiosity drives me to ask probing questions that inspire leaders to overcome obstacles and move forward.
Watching individuals shift their perspectives and develop the ability to perceive challenges from different angles and effectively resolve them on their own brings me great fulfillment.
What do I bring to coaching?
My coaching approach uniquely blends my HR knowledge, interpersonal skills, and spiritual perspective. My dual role as a Vineyard Pastor and an HR professional (more than 23 years) gives me a rare perspective on the intersection of organizational dynamics and spiritual development. This allows me to address challenges holistically and provide leaders with well-rounded guidance.
I am a Miami University Graduate with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies ( focus: Sociology, Black World, and Women Studies). I have 2 HR certifications, SPHR & SHRM-SCP, and the John Maxwell Method of Coaching, Speaking & DISC Consultant certifications.

What do I love about coaching?
I love affirming how God has designed each individual uniquely and helping people discover not what sounds good or what works for other people, but what works for them, honoring how God has uniquely made them.
Coaching training has helped me become a better listener. It has also opened my eyes to the fact that one solution does not fit all and that the person who has to execute the solution needs to be part of formulating the plan of action.
When I’m not coaching I love to play guitar, sing, watch movies, walk, bike for ice cream, learn new things, and travel.

What do I love about coaching?
What I love about coaching is that I get to partner with the coachee and the Holy Spirit to help the coachee get unstuck and receive revelation. As we unpack and explore their thinking, it often feels like a holy space. Also, I love bringing vision to bear in action, so being part of that process with someone feels perfect. Coaching has helped me in all areas of my life. It has helped me step back, listen well, ask questions, and help other people come to solutions for themselves. It also has grown my faith as I hatched God reveal things to people they couldn’t see before.
When I’m not coaching, I love spending time with my family, perfecting my sourdough technique, thrift shopping, creating functional art, and watching the sunrise.e
