The Thing That Actually Changes People with Jared Boyd (Part 1)

In this episode of We Are Vineyard, Jay talks with Jared Boyd about experiencing the Holy Spirit as a teenager and some of the early signs that he had a pastoral leadership call on his life. Jared shares about navigating the competing cultures of Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) and the Vineyard, losing his faith at an apologetics conference, and being pastored well through a “spiritual puberty.” This is part one of a two-part conversation, so come back next week to hear the rest!

Jared Patrick Boyd is the lead pastor of Central Vineyard Church in Columbus, OH, a spiritual director, and Founding Director of the Order of the Common Life– an ecumenical religious order re-imagining monastic formation into ordinary life.

Jared is the author of Imaginative Prayer: A Yearlong Guide to Your Child’s Spiritual Formation (IVP 2017) and Finding Freedom in Constraint (IVP 2023). He and his wife have 4 girls and live in the west-side neighborhood of Franklinton in Columbus, OH.
