Position Paper: The Vineyard’s Response To “The Briefing”

Vineyard USA Position Papers serve a dual purpose. The first and primary purpose is to provide necessary teaching, guidance, support, and clarity to our local churches on challenging issues of the day. The secondary purpose is to serve the wider Body of Christ in understanding our Vineyard USA stance on these same issues. Some papers are public, while others serve only an internal purpose for our pastors.

This position paper was written in 1992 in response to “The Briefing,” to clarify the Vineyard’s position in regards to misrepresentations perpetuated by a group in Australia, and to give them an opportunity to correct their public statements.
