Report a concern
Beginning August 7, 2026, Vineyard USA is expanding the ways individuals can report concerns or allegations involving Vineyard pastors, staff, leaders, or churches.
The updated process offers two distinct reporting pathways, each designed to ensure concerns are directed to and received by the people best equipped to respond. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 911. Reporting to Vineyard USA does not replace any legal mandatory reporting requirements in your state.
Pathway #1
For workplace, church, or community concerns
Use this pathway to report a broad range of concerns: church or workplace safety, financial issues, discrimination, harassment, unfair treatment, substance abuse or impairment, church discipline disputes, human resources concerns, interpersonal conflict, and anything else not covered by Pathway #2.
Reports are submitted through an online web form hosted by Ethico, an independent third party, and can be filed by name or anonymously. All reports are documented, and Vineyard USA translocal leadership (Area, Regional, or Super Regional Leaders) will offer support and resources where appropriate.
If you or someone you know believes they have experienced any form of criminal activity, the crime should be immediately and simultaneously reported to law enforcement.
Pathway #2
For allegations of abuse and other serious criminal misconduct
Use this pathway to report clergy sexual abuse or misconduct, spiritual abuse, physical abuse or violence, or other serious criminal misconduct. Reports are submitted via a confidential email reporting mechanism managed by Guidepost Solutions, an independent third party, and are followed by a phone interview with a qualified, trauma-informed Guidepost staff member.
Reports can be filed by name or anonymously, and Guidepost will not identify any reporter to Vineyard USA without your express consent. Vineyard USA staff will follow up as appropriate.
If you suspect that you or someone you know has experienced any form of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or any other criminal activity, the crime should be immediately and simultaneously reported to law enforcement.
Our Commitment to those who report
Vineyard USA is committed to a safe, caring environment for everyone in our churches, especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Accountability is part of how we live that out, and that starts with giving people a clear, confidential way to raise concerns.
No one who reports a concern in good faith, through either pathway, will face retaliation. Every report is handled with discretion, fairness, and trauma-informed care, consistent with the safeguarding framework in Section 4.4 of Vineyard USA’s National Leadership Handbook.
Safeguarding is, first and foremost, the responsibility of each local church: its policies, screening, and pastoral care happen there. Vineyard USA’s role is to provide guidance, support, and the shared reporting pathways above, partnering with local churches to uphold our shared commitment to safety.
