Sabbatical Guide Program

Vineyard USA has arranged to cover 50% of the cost of the program for every Vineyard church. You'll get access to videos, materials, and 1 personal coaching session to develop a vision and plan for your sabbatical.

About

Soul Shepherding’s Sabbatical Guide is an all-in-one toolkit that includes personal coaching, self-assessments, prayer guides, and short videos to support your sabbatical in 5 critical areas:
  1. Vision: we help you create a vision for your sabbatical to make the most of your time away.
  2. Planning: how to prepare your staff, co-workers, and family; set and manage boundaries and expectations; set up a personal prayer support team.
  3. Renewal: discover practical ways to prevent burnout, recover from trauma, strengthen your marriage, and restore your true self in Christ.
  4. Soul Care Practices: learn how to develop healthy spiritual rhythms, listen for God’s voice, and be in solitude with Jesus.
  5. Back to Work: learn how to bring your sabbatical self into your daily life and work as you continue to rest in Jesus’ easy yoke.

Recommended Retreat Centers

Additionally, if you are looking for a place of rest for a short time or for a longer sabbatical, VUSA is recommending these three locations. These each provide 7-14 day retreats for rest, rejuvenation, and healing for ministry leaders in beautiful settings. In the coming months, we are looking to develop even more local recommendations by region.
