Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, Christ-centered leader to serve as our Children’s Pastor. This is a part-time role (15–20 hours/week) focused on cultivating a vibrant, engaging, and spiritually nurturing environment for kids (infants through 5th grade) and their families. The ideal candidate will have a heart for discipleship, a love for children, and a vision for partnering with parents to raise up the next generation to follow Jesus.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Sunday Morning Leadership:

• Oversee all aspects of children’s ministry during Sunday services, including curriculum planning, teaching, and volunteer coordination.

• Volunteer Recruitment and Development:

• Recruit, train, and empower a team of passionate and committed volunteers to serve in children’s ministry.

• Parent Engagement:

• Build relationships with parents to encourage and support spiritual growth at home. Provide resources and clear communication about ministry activities.

• Vision Alignment:

• Ensure the children’s ministry reflects Vineyard Cleveland’s vision of being rooted in Christ, renewed in worship, and bringing hope to all.

• Event Planning:

• Organize occasional events that encourage connection among families and build excitement for children’s ministry.

• Safety and Policies:

• Maintain and implement child safety protocols, including background checks for all volunteers.

 

What We’re Looking For

• A committed follower of Jesus with a passion for discipleship and children’s ministry.

• Strong relational skills and the ability to connect with kids, parents, and volunteers.

• A creative and flexible leader who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to communicate Vineyard Cleveland’s vision and values effectively.

• Prior ministry experience is a plus, but not required.
