Children’s Pastor

We desire someone with a heart for kids to experience Jesus and who is passionate about creating space for the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of kids and families. Our prayer is for someone energetic, creative, administrative and excited about working with kids and young families.

Previous experience as a Children’s Pastor is not required, however, experience in children’s ministry leadership is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:

Based on an average of 30 hours per week.

Lead and coordinate Sunday morning children’s services, children’s small groups, and family/kids events throughout the year. Oversee and disciple leaders in children’s ministry and connect with families in our church. (Breakdown of Hours: Sunday-4, Curriculum & prep-6, Administrative tasks-10, Small groups-4, Event planning-2, Meetings-2, Margin-2)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leading/teaching Sunday mornings in Children’s Ministry
Classroom/curriculum prep
Connecting with and scheduling volunteers
Weekly staff meetings
Develop and disciple teachers and leaders
Database/website updates
Yearly event/holiday planning for Kid’s Ministry
