Christian Educational Director

Job Overview:
The Almont Vineyard Church is seeking the best candidate for a Christian
Educational Director who is called by God. The CED will be responsible for
developing, coordinating, training, and overseeing all the church’s educational
programs. This role also includes leading the AVC youth group, which is
estimated to take between 6-8 hours a week. We are looking for someone who is a good leader with the appropriate communication skills to lead the church
family into a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Key Responsibilities/ What You Will Do:
• Lead the AVC Youth Group (6th–12th Grade): Dedicate approximately 6–8
hours weekly to lesson planning, event coordination, youth and parent
engagement, and all related planning, communication, and ministry activities.
• Oversee Children’s Ministry: Manage volunteers and ministry leaders for
children’s church, preschool, and nursery programs for Sunday mornings and
Wednesday evenings during the fall and winter seasons, ensuring volunteers are
trained and equipped with necessary curriculum and resources.
• Manage Adult Small Group Ministry: Oversee adult small group ministries,
collaborating with the church board to offer annual adult discipleship classes,
while training volunteers and providing them with required curriculum and
resources.
• Train New Discipleship Ministry Recruits: Deliver comprehensive training to
new volunteers and teachers, preparing them to serve and teach within ministry
programs.
• Ensure Adequate Ministry Staffing: Monitor volunteer staffing needs to
guarantee all ministries are fully staffed and volunteer rotations are consistently
maintained.
Coordinate Special Events: Plan and execute events such as Vacation Bible
School and programs designed for young families, ensuring alignment with
ministry vision.
• Facilitate Adult and Family Events: Help organize workshops, seminars, and
training sessions to foster discipleship and spiritual growth for adults and
families.
• Recruit, Train, and Support Volunteers: Actively recruit, train, and provide
ongoing support to teachers and volunteers in educational ministries.
