Lead Pastor

River City Vineyard is searching for a full-time, salaried lead pastor.

River City Vineyard is located in Canon City, Colorado. Canon City’s population is approximately 17,000, with an additional 31,000 residents in the surrounding area. Canon City is a beautiful town with over 300 days of sun, and amazing outdoor recreational opportunities including hiking, cycling, rock climbing, rafting, fishing and the list goes on! Fremont County is also one of the lowest cost-of-living areas in the state. The church was planted in 1997 as a Vineyard by Kirk and Jane Yamaguchi, and currently has an average of 450 attendees across all of our weekly gatherings.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of and support for a theology with the Kingdom of God at its center, as well as Vineyard’s core praxis as detailed in Vineyard USA’s Core Values & Beliefs Handbook. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have an understanding of Vineyard’s history, as well as the work the Vineyard Movement is participating in for the future. The candidate will be a Vineyard USA endorsed and ordained pastor, or be willing to go through the VUSA ordination process, regardless of any other ordinations from other denominations.
