Pacific City Church was planted in 2018 by Chris Meekins and his team in Santa Monica, CA. In this episode Michael and co-host Liz Moore (also a church planter in Princeton, NJ) talk through the issues facing church planters in the era of COVID-19. Chris and his team have tackled these new challenges with lots of creativity. This episode is a look back at the last couple months as well as a look forward into the future of the church and church planting post-quarantine.

About the Guest

Chris Meekins

Chris has ministry experience with the Vineyard Association of Churches, Young Life, FCA, and Navigators. He served with Vineyard Columbus Church on pastoral staff from 2005-2012. During his time, Chris helped to launch a campus ministry on various central Ohio campuses including The Ohio State University. He holds a BA in Political Science and Religion from Ashland University, a Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. His final thesis project explored a strategy for launching new churches in large US cities.

Chris’s passion is to lead people to experience the love of God in Jesus. He has a burden to call the church to experience spiritual awakening and see people fulfill their God-given purpose. Currently, Chris resides in Santa Monica, CA with his wife Nicole and their daughter, Maren.
