The Operations Media Specialist role at Palo Alto Vineyard Church is an exempt, full-time (30+ hours/week) position responsible for managing church digital assets and workflows (devices and systems). This role will focus on managing church operations digital infrastructure including Planning Center, Propresenter, G-suite, video services, along with helping to ensure smooth operation of Sunday morning worship services and certain mid-week events. In addition, the role will support media communications through management of social media presence, creation/editing of videos, and maintaining the church website. The responsibilities of this role may evolve and be adjusted based upon need. The Operations Media Specialist will report directly to the Director of Operations and Compassion.

Responsibilities:

The Operations Media Specialist will be responsible for the following areas:
● Maintain and implement digital solutions and systems: Planning Center, G-suite (email, YouTube, Drive, Maps), Zoom, MailChimp, photo repository.
● Prepare all media files for Sunday morning usage using Propresenter.
● Provide tech support for church-provided employee equipment (tablets, laptops), ensuring full access/device IDs and availability if employees can’t solve issues on their own.
● Update systems & website with latest service/sermon and event information.
● Develop and/or edit videos for a variety of uses.
● Help to strategize and optimize the most effective use of digital workflows and solutions to support church operations.
● Manage church social media presence, driving active engagement.

Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree and some experience working in a small, lean organization
(especially a non-profit or church ministry) is preferred.
● Experience and familiarity with a variety of digital media/software solutions, tech-savvy in digital management; knowledge of specific software listed above is preferred.
● Commitment to the mission, values, and philosophy of Palo Alto Vineyard Church
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Very detail-oriented, especially with regards to inputting data or ensuring solutions are complete.
● Ability to prioritize tasks, balance multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and thrive in a complex environment with multiple and shifting priorities. Willingness to “jump in” where needed and ability to shift priorities quickly as the need arises.

● Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including a wide variety of internal and external constituencies.
● Ability to work effectively across cultures. Demonstrates a commitment to learning,
communicating, and working respectfully with people different from themselves.
● Ability to work some Sundays and evening events.
