Job Overview

The Vinelife Kids Ministry Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and leadership of the kids ministry department at Vinelife Christian Church as well as the oversight and discipleship of its ministry volunteers. Our kids ministry is committed to creating and maintaining an environment where kids feel welcome and safe and where each child is encouraged and given every opportunity to learn and grow in their journey of becoming a disciple of Christ. We believe that children play an active role in the advancement of God’s Kingdom which is why the kids ministry at Vinelife is not just a babysitting job. Rather, it is an opportunity to equip and disciple the next generation to fulfill the calling that God has placed on their lives.

Reports To:

The Vinelife Kids Ministry Coordinator will report to the Family Ministry Pastor.

Responsibilities And Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Oversee and manage all kids services on Sunday mornings and other kids’s ministry activities. This includes being present and available during all services, prepping all materials, curriculum and supplies needed for those services and opening up and shutting down the kids ministry area.
• Recruit, schedule, train, and disciple the kids’s ministry volunteers.
• Create and effectively manage the kid’s ministry budget.
• Attend all regular staff meetings.
• Promote the health and safety of all kids and volunteers and ensure that all volunteers adhere to Vinelife Christian Church’s kids ministry policies.
• Communicate consistently and effectively with parents/guardians of the children attending Vinelife Christian Church as well as the parents/guardians of visitors.

• Highly energetic, cheerful and a positive attitude.
• Ongoing desire and ability to grow spiritually and mentally.
• Ability to remain relevant to kids and effectively communicate The Gospel to them in a variety of applications and situations.
• Highly effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to use and implement technology for communication and presentation.
• Proficiency in professional communication programs (word processing, email, etc.)
• Ability to operate and perform as part of team.
