La Viña Chiriqui De Panama | 6th Anniversary Report

I (Brian) just received the following report from Carole Kaylor. She and her husband, Dan, planted the La Viña Chiriqui in Porterillos Arriba, Panama. They just celebrated the sixth anniversary of the church being planted. Carole says,

The anniversary was a smashing success! We had 71 people here, and about 25 were visitors. One family we had not met before; it included a mom and two of her three sons. She was contacted during our neighborhood outreach, and her boys will be joining the youth group.

During the celebration we served a thanksgiving meal. Nearly everyone stayed to visit afterward. It was super fun. Phillips from the David Church (La Viña) came out to translate. The relationship we have with the other La Viñas in Chiriqui is such an encouragement. Our new worship leader, Màrcos, is awesome! Màrcos and his wife, Mauren, will be initiating the youth group next Saturday. We should have 10 students present. That is a major goal we have been praying into for a long time (live worship and youth ministry). Next will be to start a kids’ program as well. So now it is time to pray in the kids ministry leaders!

Here is some background to Carole’s report: The La Viña Chiriqui leadership team has been praying for years for someone to come who could lead “live” worship, because up until now they have had to use videos for worship. A few months ago, a local couple started attending the church, Màrcos and Mauren; they have two teenage sons, and Màrcos is able to lead worship! Not only has God provided a worship leader for the church, but this couple will also be leading the youth group.
