Dear Vineyard Family,
As you may be aware, since March of 2020 we have been engaged in a prayerful and strategic work of refocusing, resourcing, and reorganizing the way our Movement works. We believe that the Lord clearly called us to undertake this process, and He has been with us in it every step of the way.

One of these steps was to begin the vetting and selection of a new National Director. It is important that this person be involved in following the Spirit’s leading for the foreseeable future of the Vineyard.
We began by reaching out to our Senior Pastors, asking for nominations of whom they felt the Lord might be asking to take on this task. Once the nominations were in, the Executive Team accepted the top 15 candidates with 3 or more nominations to see who felt they should continue in the vetting process. Of those 15, 4 chose to continue in the process. Over the last several months, these candidates have undergone an extensive vetting process.
We cannot stress enough how much your prayers have meant to us during this time. We have made every effort to hear from the Lord.
After much prayer and discernment, the Executive Team has selected Jay Pathak to be the National Director-Elect.
As you may not be familiar with Jay’s influence and work in the Vineyard Movement up to this point, we have put together a brief introduction video to help you get to know him, as we trust you will continue to in the coming years of his service to our Movement as National Director.
We are currently in the process of ratifying this decision. Once confirmed by a majority of our churches, Jay will officially be named as our National Director-Elect until January 1, 2022 at which time he becomes the National Director of Vineyard USA.
I will continue to lead Vineyard USA as National Director through December 31, 2021. Jan and I look forward to supporting the Movement and the new National Director for many years to come!

About Jay
Jay Pathak is the Senior Pastor of the Mile High Vineyard. Prior to planting Mile High Vineyard in 2001, he served as a leader in the Columbus Vineyard’s young-adult ministry, Joshua House, and as an intern to the senior pastor, Rich Nathan, in Columbus, Ohio.
As the Senior Pastor of the MHV, Jay strategically guides the mission and vision of the church as a whole, is the main teaching pastor and provides oversight to the MHV family of neighborhood churches. He has spoken nationally and internationally for Vineyard and other groups in both conference and classroom settings.
Committed to engaging and impacting those outside the church walls, Jay co-wrote the book, The Art of Neighboring, with Dave Runyon. This unique and challenging book asks the question: “What is the most loving thing I can do for the people who live right next door?”
Jay has a BA in Philosophy from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute. He and his wife, Danielle, were married in 1998 and have two daughters, Jasmine and Sofia.

Querida Familia Vineyard,
Como ustedes ya sabrán, desde marzo del 2020 hemos estado comprometidos con un trabajo de estrategia y oración para reenfocar, dotar de recursos y reorganizar la forma en que funciona nuestro Movimiento. Creemos que el Señor claramente nos llamó a emprender este proceso, y ha estado con nosotros en cada paso del camino.

Uno de esos pasos fue comenzar la investigación y selección de un nuevo Director Nacional. Es importante que esta persona esté participando en seguir la dirección del Espíritu para el futuro previsible de la Viña.
Comenzamos por acercarnos a nuestros pastores principales, pidiendo nominaciones de personas, de quienes ellos sintieran que el Señor podría estar pidiendo asumir esta tarea. Una vez recibidas las nominaciones, el Equipo Ejecutivo aceptó a los 15 mejores candidatos con 3 o más nominaciones para ver quiénes sentían que debían continuar en el proceso de evaluación. De esos 15, 4 optaron por continuar en el proceso. Durante los últimos meses, estos candidatos se han sometido a un extenso proceso de evaluación.
No podemos enfatizar suficientemente cuánto sus oraciones han significado para nosotros durante este tiempo. Hemos hecho todo lo posible por escuchar al Señor.
Después de mucha oración y discernimiento, el Equipo Ejecutivo ha seleccionado a Jay Pathak para ser el Director Nacional Electo.
Como es posible que no estén familiarizados con la influencia y el trabajo de esta persona en el Movimiento de la Viña hasta este momento, hemos preparado un breve video de presentación para ayudarles a conocerlo, confiando en que también continuarán haciéndolo durante los próximos años de su servicio a nuestro Movimiento como Director Nacional. Actualmente estamos en el proceso de ratificar esta decisión. Una vez confirmado por la mayoría de nuestras iglesias, Jay será nombrado oficialmente como nuestro Director Nacional Electo hasta el 1 de enero de 2022, momento en el cual él se convertirá en el Director Nacional de Vineyard USA.

About Jay
Jay Pathak es el Pastor Principal del Mile High Vineyard. Antes de plantar el Mile High Vineyard en 2001, se desempeñó como líder en el ministerio de jóvenes adultos Joshua House del Columbus Vineyard, y como pasante del pastor principal, Rich Nathan, en Columbus, Ohio.
Como Pastor Principal del MHV, Jay guía estratégicamente la visión de la iglesia en su conjunto, es el pastor principal de enseñanza y supervisa la familia MHV de iglesias de barrio. Ha hablado a nivel nacional e internacional para Vineyard y otros grupos tanto en conferencias como en aulas.
