Relying On The Provider
Relying on the Provider, rather than his provision, is the core principle. Psalms 33:16-17 says, “No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its strength, it cannot save.”
Though we’ve been made wealthy by God, we’re not to rely on that abundance. Each of us must come to the same conclusion. To admit our lack of control is not a sign of weakness. In fact, it is precisely this posture that positions us to triumph through our crises because we have acknowledged the truth. The truth is that he is God and we’re not.
